Popular baby retailer Mothercare have recalled their children’s toy key set amid safety fears.

The brand have announced that they are to pull their ‘My First Key’ toy, as they warn that there is a risk the battery cover could come loose leaving the button cell battery exposed.

The affected toy being recalled has been on sale since June last year, and contains the batch codes of 02-161024, 02161205, and 02-170509.

Parents can find the codes on the back of the toy to check if theirs is affected.

Trading Standards

Mothercare is urging parents to stop using the affected toy immediately and return it to the store they purchased it at.

Customers will receive a full refund on return.
